No. Neverfail Guard makes a copy/protection of software and data installed in computer system into its secure and invisible, unwritable buffer area. Nothing can damage this copy/protection. The copy/protection cannot be destroyed even if you format your drive C. Unless there are hardware failures within computer system, such as hard disk physically damaged, motherboard down, etc..

Configure Neverfail guard protect 1st logical drive only. Be aware, Windows and most application software will be installed in drive C at their default.

11. Can the working mode of NEVERFAIL guard be changed after installation?

Working mode can be changed from one to another any time after installation. But, changing working mode from protect mode to open mode or auto recovery mode of Neverfail guard may cause loss of data. Make a new protection if required before you change its working mode.

PASSWORD

1. The Default password of Neverfail Guard.

Default password of Neverfail Computer System Guard Smart, Smart plus is "duplex".

2. If I forget password?

If you have changed Neverfail guard's default password and now forget it, you have to un-install Neverfail guard, power off computer, unplug it from computer, and reinstall it again. Thus, the password settings will be back to its default.

3. How to change the password of Neverfail Guard?

If you want to change the password of NEVERFAIL computer system guard.

Restart computer from Windows
Press Number key "8" when Neverfail Hotkeys menu pops up (see figure bellow)
Input old password first
Select "Change Password" from Set Parameters menu, press [Enter]
Input New Password, press [Enter]
Confirm New Pasword, press [Enter]
Press [Enter] and remember the new password.
Press [Enter]
Windows will start, now password has been changed.

4. Content of Password?

Maximum length is 8 .Numerical or letters . The password of Neverfail is capital sensitive

1. How to configure Virtual Memory (Paging File) of Windows XP?

1. On desktop, right click My Computer icon
2. Select Properties
3. System Properties Menu pops up
4. Change to Advanced tab
5. Click Settings of Performance
6. Performance Options menu pops up

9. Highlight Last Drive (Here is E)

2. How to configure Virual Memory (Paging File) of Windows 98?

On desktop, right click "My Computer"
Select "Properties"
"System Properties" menu pops up
Change to "Performance" tab
Click "Virtual Memory"
"Virtual Memory" menu posp up
Highlight "Let me specify my own virtual memory settings"
Select last logical drive from "Hard Disk" pull down bar
Minimum size should be the total amount space of memory you installed
Maximum size should be at least double of Minimum size

3. How to configure Neverfail guard if there are 2 physical hard disks installed in my computer?

As if there were only one physical hard disk in computer. But remember, Neverfail guard cannot protect software and data stored in the 2nd physical hard disk.

4. What should I do before installation of Neverfail Guard?

You must finish the following preparation of your Windows system and other configurations first, then start the installation of Neverfail Computer System Guard. Decide which Working Mode of Neverfail Computer System Guard you need. There must be at least 2 logical drives in hard disk and the last logical drive must be with minimum 1GB free space. Create Windows' Virtual Memory (Paging File) on the last logical drive and set to "System managed size".

PROTECTION

1. If there is something wrong within the protection?

After you make a new protection, you find out that there is something wrong within the protection. In this case, you can correct the problems in protect mode and then make another protection. Thus, the new protection you made will be error free.

2. Can I use Neverfail guard to protect Windows 2003?

Neverfail Computer System Guard Smart cannot be used for Windows 2003 system. Only Neverfail Computer System Guard Smart plus can be used for Windows 2003 system.

3. Can Neverfail guard perform protection & recovery if it happens a hardware failure of my computer?

No. Hardware failure of computer will demolish all the function of Neverfail guard.

FAQs -- MAKE NEW PROTECTION

1. Why Do I Need to Make New Protection?

When Neverfail has been installed in your computer system and set working mode to PROTECT. All your software and data is under the protection of Neverfail. Then you will do many things within your computer system, such as a new document created, or new application software installed. All changes mentioned above is not under the protection of Neverfail guard. So,you have to Make New Protection to protect the changes if you don't want lose them.

2. When to Make New Protection?

Normally, if something has been changed in computer system including program and data and you want to protect them permanently, then you can make a new protection.

3. How to Make a New Protection?

Input your password
Press 6 ("Backup to Now") when Neverfail Hotkeys menu pops up
Restart computer from Windows
A warning messege pops up, select [Yes] and press [Enter]
Make sure there cannot be pwoer failure of your computer system when back up processure is under taking. Press [Enter.]
When back up finish, computer system will restart.

4. How fast can Neverfail "Make New Protection" ?

5. If there is Power failure of computer during "Backup to Now" procedure?

Thus, there are 2 copies of your data, one in 1st drive and protected by Neverfail and another in 2nd drive.
